Georges Santa-Maria started his business career in Algeria in the early 1960’s.
Having an innate business and work sense, he was confided Faema coffee machines’ distribution, very famous for their high technology.
At the conclusion of a long war and a painful banishment, the Santa-Maria family left Algeria to build a new life in France.
At the end of 1960's, Georges Santa-Maria targets the capital and creates in 1970 Bally France, marking his career’s climax.


Created in 1970, Bally France was originally a Bally Manufacturing-Chicago's subsidiary, its activity was exclusively dedicated to games exploitation.
Besides Bally (flippers and slot machines) and Bally-Midway (video games), Bally France represented the brands Rockola/Chicago (juke-box), Jupiter/France (juke-box), Gottlieb/Chicago (flippers), Bonzoni/France (baby-foot) and Sidam/Turin (video games).

Become independent in 1986, Bally France has seen its activity growing at the rate of the French casinos setting-up, concentrating completely on gambling machines’ sale.
Bally France has quickly stood out as the pioneer and the inescapable in the game and casinos' world.
Strengthened by a huge experience in the game's field and a high-level technical support, Bally France is present in 99 % of the French casinos and has been remaining leader on its market for more than 35 years.


In the 1980's, Georges Santa-Maria puts the cape on Spain, to Benidorm, Costa Blanca’s tourist paradise.
In 1985, the first aquatic park in Spain opens its doors. Biggest aquatic park in Europe, spread on 20 hectares on the Sierra Helada, Aqualandia's attractions originality and diversity have become a tourist legend.

In 1996, his little brother saw the light: Mundomar. This marine mammals' park plunged into a paradisiacal tropical universe, offers to his visitors the unique experience to swim to their sides.

In 2001, the Aqualandia / Mundomar foundation is created to develop dolphin therapy programs intended to children suffering from physical or psychic dysfunction.
Created with the aim of promoting care, nature and environment conservation, hundreds of families from whole Europe are living every year this unique experience.


Accompanied by his two sons Christophe and Franck, Georges Santa-Maria will conquest new markets in the 90's: hotel business and real-estate.
Driven by the will to realize each of his ambitions, the Santa-Maria “clan” will develop hotel-keeper complex in Spain and in Dominican Republic, playing a major role in the economic and tourist development of these regions.

Building large-scale and luxury real-estate complexes in Spain as well as in Dominican Republic, Santa-Maria Group sees its position strengthened by becoming an inescapable actor of the real-estate international market.
With the acquisition of one of the most beautiful beaches in the world (UNESCO’s classification), Santa-Maria Group with a project foreseeing an implantation of four luxurious hotels, a casino, market and entertainment places.

Santa-Maria group arose from a dream and does not stop building its kingdom.
